Data You Give Us Directly
Search Queries
A name or location entered into a search tool is sent directly to the outside provider operating that tool. The provider processes the query and supplies its results; this website does not retain or log those search terms.
Messages and Contact Submissions
An email may be retained as needed to respond. It remains within the organization unless disclosure is required by law.
Data We Gather Automatically
Site servers automatically receive basic technical information when a page loads:
- The IP address assigned to your device
- Which browser you are using and its version
- Your device type and operating system
- The pages you visited and how long you stayed on each
- The site that sent you here, if any
- Timestamps for each page view
Cookies and Analytics
Cookies are small device files used to understand traffic patterns, including popular pages and exit points. Analytics providers aggregate that usage information. Visitors may block cookies through browser controls, although doing so can change how some features behave.
What We Do With This Data
- Keeping the site up, running, and loading quickly
- Sending your search requests to the right partner service
- Figuring out which pages people find useful and which need work
- Tracking down and fixing technical issues
- Showing ads that may line up with your interests
No Criminal-Record Data on File
No database of personal criminal-record information is hosted, compiled, or sold here. The site explains how to reach the Columbia County Sheriff and Clerk, the Florida Department of Law Enforcement repository, and FDLE Sexual Offenders and Predators Search. It is not a consumer reporting agency under the Fair Credit Reporting Act, and visitor information is not assembled into consumer reports or third-party dossiers.
Third-Party Search Partners
Outside companies operate the search boxes. Their own privacy terms govern submitted information, retention, and sharing, none of which this site controls. Review the provider's policy before entering a query.
Links to Other Websites
Links may lead to sheriff, court, Florida agency, legal-aid, or commercial search websites. Once a visitor leaves this site, the destination's privacy policy applies and should be read before personal details are submitted.
Advertising providers may use their own systems to track activity across websites for targeted advertising.
Who Might See Your Data
Personal data is not sold. Limited information may be available to:
- Search partners that handle queries you run on our site
- Analytics services we use to track traffic and performance
- Ad networks that place ads on our pages
- Law enforcement or government bodies when a valid legal order requires it
How We Protect Your Data
Reasonable industry security measures are used for collected data. No internet-connected system is completely secure, so protection against every breach cannot be guaranteed.
Users Under 18
The website is intended for adults and does not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under 18. Information identified as belonging to a minor may be requested for deletion.
Your Data Rights
Rights may vary by residence. Florida's Deceptive and Unfair Trade Practices Act, sections 501.201 through 501.213, Florida Statutes, and other applicable law may provide protections. Florida's Sunshine Law and chapter 119 govern records held by public agencies, not the private visitor data described here. At a minimum, a visitor may:
- Ask for a copy of what we have on file about you
- Have us fix information that is wrong
- Request that we erase your data
- Opt out of certain kinds of data processing
Updates to This Policy
This policy may be revised. An updated version and effective date will appear on this page when a change takes effect.
